“THROW IT UP!” TOURNAMENT UNITES THE COMMUNITY OF AGUA VERDE, LORETO

With the aim of uniting fishing communities and providing tourism projection, FONMAR carried out the second edition of the shore tournament “Échale Montón!” in the community of Agua Verde, Loreto, with the participation of 191 fishermen between adults and children.
Fishermen from Agua Verde, San Cosme, Loreto and Ciudad Constitución participated, with a total of 138 adults and 53 children who shared a great time of coexistence and family enjoyment.
With the support of the Loreto City Council, five bicycles were delivered among the winners of the children’s category: Andrés González, Edson Murillo, Alexa Romero, Ronaldo Higuera and Valentina Castro.
While in the adult category, Juan Carlos Higuera, José Murillo, Daniel García, Alberto Martínez and Lorena Navarro were winners, taking respectively, eight thousand, six thousand, three thousand, two thousand and one thousand pesos contributed by the Government of the State of BCS through FONMAR.

The award ceremony was held by Councilor René Humberto Savín Murillo on behalf of Mayor Paz Ochoa Amador, the Coordinator of FONMAR in Loreto, Evaristo Alfonso Susarrey Amador; The Municipal Coordinator of Fishing Tournaments, Jesús Francisco Martínez Davis; The State Coordinator of Fishing Tournaments of FONMAR, Erick Enrique De La Vega Meza; and the president of the Organizing Committee, Enrique León Lara.

Through the initiative “Échale Montón” promoted by SEDIF under the coordination of Prof. Patricia Imelda López Navarro, the development of communities and the harmonious coexistence of their inhabitants is promoted.
