With the accompaniment of State sport fishing promoters, representatives of EMPRHOTUR and the FONMAR Coordinators of the The presentation of the Tournament Calendar was carried out of Sport Fishing 2025, promoted by the State Government through the Fund for the Protection of Marine Resources (FONMAR).

The calendar that can be consulted on the fonmar.gob.mx page, includes more than one hundred dates in fishing tournaments in the modalities of high seas and that are developed in the five municipalities and are integrated into the serial estatal de pesca deportiva “Fishing in the Five”.

The Director of FONMAR, Martín Inzunza Tamayo explained that this product it is the result of careful planning work, which promotes the sustainable fishing and the development of coastal communities, considering to the instructions of the Governor of the State, Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío.

The State Coordinator of Sport Fishing Tournaments of FONMAR, Erick Enrique De La Vega Meza reported that the calendar is made up of a total of 107 dates, of which sixty-one are in the modality of high seas and forty-six in the shore modality. The 2024-2025 edition series Fishing in the Five, will conclude this year in conjunction with the “Copa Loreto” on August 15 and 16; to kick off the 2025-2026 edition from September 5 to 7 at the “La Bocana Adventure” Tournament in the municipality of Mulegé.
