The Magdalena’s Mission Tournament will be the “kick-off” of the “Fishing in the Five 2023 Series.” The new date is Saturday, November 25 and 26, 2023, in Puerto San Carlos, Comondú. The entry fee is 6,000 pesos ($338 US per Team of 4 anglers). Anglers visiting Baja are welcome!
This event will feature a guaranteed PURSE of half a million pesos ($28,303 US) in prizes, jointly contributed by the #FONMAR and the Tournament Committee, The Mission of Magdalena. There will be 400 thousand pesos in prize money for the Dorado Category and 100 thousand for the Marlin Category.
The Gobierno del Estado de BCS, the XVII City Council of Comondú, API of Puerto San Carlos, and the Port of San Carlos BCS Sport Fishing Committee are promoting the event. It will give significant tourist exposure to the community and make a substantial economic impact on the local businesses and residents.
The decision to promote the event was endorsed by the Director of FONMAR, Martín Inzunza Tamayo; Leopoldo Torres González, member of the Organizing Committee, The Mission of Magdalena; Ricardo Lopez Gerardo, delegate of San Carlos; and Juan Carlos Patiño González, sub-delegate of Bay Magdalena.
